My name is Kelly and I am a hydrogeology grad student. I am writing this blog as part of a class I am taking about energy and sustainability. My posts will be a reflection of the topics discussed in class and the articles I will read.

I called my blog Earth Energy Attitude because I believe that to create real change, our attitudes towards energy and waste need to be reevaluated. Every day we unconsciously make choices that are detrimental to the environment and never stop to pause and recognize how much energy we use needlessly and how much waste we create out of laziness or thoughtlessness. A simple, slight change in attitude will help to make the energy conscious choice the choice that comes to mind first instead of an afterthought. Through this blog I hope to examine our current attitude towards energy and waste, and explore ways to alter our attitudes to evoke real and lasting change.
